When OPPO launched the first version of its Find X series in 2018, it caught the attention of many thanks to the design language that was ahead of its era. Perhaps the specifications of the phone, which were at the level of flagships phones, did not attract more attention than the new design did.
Two years later, Oppo launched the second generation of the Find X series, the Find X2 5G phone and the Find X2 Pro 5G phone. And this time, the company has opted for a more functional design given the feedback it has received from many users.
Find X2 series focuses on selecting the correct items required to be eligible phones for the flagfish category. They mainly include: design, screen, cameras, processor, battery, and software. We will focus here on the distinctive design of the new series of phones from OPPO.
New design, more sustainable and durable
When you first look at the Oppo Find X2 Pro phone, you will notice the eye-catching design it offers. The Find X2 Pro comes in two types: Vegan Leather, which is the brand name for polyurethane, and the other is Black Ceramic.
The ceramic version has a shiny, mirror-like back, and to complement its distinct aesthetic, OPPO has made sure that the branding and other details are very small and blend in with the color of the phone, and you may not notice them at all. What will appear in front of you is the thick camera bump on the back. Which contains some powerful hardware as well as large sensors that take up a lot of space inside, and thus the camera bump appears. Find X2 Pro comes with three rear cameras: a 48-megapixel main camera, a 48-megapixel wide-angle camera, and a 13-megapixel telephoto lens.
And unlike the previous version, Find X, OPPO chose a more classic front camera design, instead of the Pop-Up selfie camera that we saw before, the new version Find X2 comes with a small hole in the upper left of the screen with a 32-megapixel camera. This change may be better in terms of sustainability, durability and more practical as well; With the pop-up camera feature, there are more moving parts in the phone, and the continuous exit and entry of the camera may expose it to more damage and wear over time.
Find X2 Pro also has a touch sampling rate of 240Hz, and an in-screen fingerprint reader to keep the back of the phone, which works great. But Find X2 Pro no longer offers 3D face unlock, instead there is basic face unlock.
At the bottom edge, you’ll see the USB Type-C port sandwiched between the speaker grille and the dual-SIM card slot. The right edge houses the power button, while the volume keys are placed on the left edge. Despite the aspect ratio of 19.8: 9, you can easily access these keys.
Are you worried about carrying your smartphone during monsoons or in the pool? Well, Find X2 Pro is IP68 certified for water and dust resistance, which means that you can stay 1.5 meters underwater for 30 minutes without causing any damage to the new smartphone.
Robust screen design and automatic refresh rate
On the front you will find a distinctive curved display, and the Find X2 Pro AMOLED screen comes in 6.7 inches. For an enhanced visual experience, the Find X2 Pro screen has HDR10 + certification, and according to ambient light, automatic brightness is adjusted, allowing the screen to be used without any problem even in direct sunlight. The screen is also well calibrated to provide vibrant colors and a balanced tone of color.
Find X2 Pro doesn’t force you to choose between high resolution or high refresh rate, as you get the option to run both features simultaneously, which means you can take full advantage of its amazing screen. Whereas, there is an option to enable 60Hz or 120Hz refresh rate even when using QHD + resolution, which is unlike what appears on the Galaxy S20 Ultra, for example, which only allows choosing either 60Hz at QHD + resolution, or 60Hz / 120Hz at FHD + resolution. .
There is also an option to “auto select” in the display settings of the Find X2 Pro, which selects the refresh rate depending on the type of tasks being performed at that moment. Which means if you enable 120Hz refresh rate and receive a call from someone, the screen will automatically switch to 60Hz refresh rate, then it will revert back to 120Hz if you are playing a game that supports high refresh rate.
