Apart from the Google Pixel 5 and Google Pixel 4a 5G phones, Google has also today officially unveiled the Nest Audio smart speaker.
This new smart speaker is the successor to the popular Google Home speaker, which sits neatly between the Nest Mini and Google Home Max. The new Nest Audio is about $ 30 cheaper than the previous generation, as it costs only $ 99. For this amount, you get an audio system equipped with two loudspeakers, one of which is 75mm and the other 19mm, and also includes three long-range microphones, and a microphone mute button.
Google says it delivers 75 percent louder sound and 50 percent stronger bass compared to Google Home. The company promises you a “full, clear and natural” sound, which the company spent more than 500 hours tuning to ensure the sound is balanced in all cases.
The Media EQ feature allows the Nest Audio to automatically set itself to listen to it – music, podcasts, audiobooks, etc. And with the Ambient iQ feature, Nest Audio adjusts the volume of what’s played based on the background noise in your home.
Of course, the Google Assistant comes preinstalled with this new smart speaker, as well as touch-sensitive controls on the top of the device covered in cloth. In the USA, the Google Assistant on Nest Audio learns from your most common music requests and responds twice as fast than it did on Google Home.
The Nest Audio smart speaker includes a quad-core processor with a frequency of 1.8GHz, supports Wi-Fi, and it comes with a structure made of 70 percent of recycled plastic, knowing that it will be available in various colors including green, orange, blue, white and black, and weighs 1.2 kg.
You can connect two Nest Audio units for a stereo effect, and take the music with you when you move into another room. You can also play the same music on your Google Home / Nest speakers at the same time.
Generally speaking, the Nest Audio smart speaker will be available in the US, Canada and India on October 5th, but will make its way to more regions on October 15th.
