Huawei EMUI 11 experience

The experience of the system interface is one of the most important factors that directly affect your experience of the smartphone … it is that you will deal with it permanently when you use the phone and determine the smoothness of the phone and its smoothness in its use, as well as the additional features that you will get when using that interface.

We had the opportunity to try the trial version of the EMUI 11 operating interface, based on the latest Android 10 operating system, and in the next lines, we show you the changes that the interface got in its latest versions.

New forms of the energy saving screen (Always on display) and the ability to adjust it

One of the most important features that Android phones have is the ability to obtain time and date information in addition to notification information when the screen is closed with the Always on display, which shows this information without much energy consumption with phones that have AMOLED screens as they only illuminate the pixels in the information. The rest of the pixels do not light up, thus greatly saving energy.

In the new update, Huawei has added many new and customizable shapes to this screen …

The new collection of lock screen shapes has many geometric shapes that give life to your phone when closed and give it a wonderful look … You can choose from several colors for those shapes as well as choose the color manually by taking a picture and extracting the colors from it.

The customization of this lock screen does not stop at this limit, but you can also completely customize it by choosing the image you want from the gallery completely freely and you can choose between still images and animated images (GIF) as well.

On the occasion of talking about the photo gallery, it also witnessed an update in the form and design, which we will recognize in the following paragraph

New gallery design
In the latest version of the EMUI 11 operating interface, Huawei has updated its gallery interface that contains an album display system, through which you get the name of the prominent albums and a thumbnail image of the most important pictures inside this album.

You can also switch between displaying photos to be grouped according to the day or month in which they were captured by swiping in or out with two fingers to switch between the two views.

Smoother animation
Animations become smoother when switching between applications and when using system applications such as: the contact application, the memo application and the Huawei Calendar application

The notification panel also witnessed a change in the animation when turning on and off some features such as Bluetooth, Wi-Fi and other keys in the control panel and notifications.

Vibration motor synchronized with phone tone
One of the additional features that the interface got is to synchronize the phone’s vibration with notifications and ringtones that you will get to get a better user experience.

Better design for multitasking
One of the most important advantages that you get when you choose the Android operating system is multitasking, the ability to open more than one application at the same time, and the use of the Floating Windows to perform some side tasks while you are watching a video or browsing the Internet, for example.

Huawei has improved the multitasking in this interface to get the floating window that you can get anywhere within the system when you drag from both ends of the screen for two seconds, then you will access the widgets that you can use as a floating screen … and you can customize that menu via the same shortcut.

You can also control the size of these windows or even minimize them and refer to them at any time, similar to the Facebook Messenger application, but in this mode you can apply these windows to any program you need.

More advantages for cooperation between smartphone and laptop
Huawei made greater possibilities available when collaborating between laptops compatible with Huawei phones, such as the Huawei MateBook, where you can now answer incoming calls on your smartphone via the laptop using the laptop’s microphone and camera to receive those calls, as well as open and modify files on the phone via the laptop directly.

One of the important features in this update is also the ability to use the phone’s camera as a scanner, as it takes pictures of files, and the phone automatically translates this text into speech by means of artificial intelligence to be able to use speech directly and modify it and you can use this feature also on the phone Smartphone itself via the Notes app.
