The latest reports confirmed the plans of Oppo to launch its first version of foldable phones in the first quarter of this year, as the phone is officially launched between April and June.
Oppo is preparing to compete in the foldable phone market with its own release during the coming period, but unlike the leaks that have come so far, Oppo plans to launch a foldable screen phone, so the company’s first version will not be distinguished by a rotatable screen according to previous leaks.
Expectations indicate that Oppo will not start producing its recyclable phone that appeared in a model of the company during the past year.
Also, along with Oppo, both Xiaomi and Vivo are preparing to launch foldable versions of smartphones later this year, and some leaks have indicated that Google is also joining the competition in 2021.
On the other hand, many leaks confirm that this year’s versions of foldable phones adopt the design that folds inward, so none of the companies will provide the distinctive design of the Mate X and Mate Xs that supports folding to the outside.
It is reported that Huawei has already presented its foldable version for this year, Mate X2, and Samsung is expected to unveil the Galaxy Z Fold3 and Z Flip3 at an event to be held during the third quarter of 2021, so we expect more details about the next generation of foldable phones during Next period.
